The schools version of The Mould was premiered in the summer of 2018, with performances at the London Science Museum and the National Museum of Scotland. An outstanding support and resource kit, made freely available at, will allow schools across the UK to put on their own productions of the show.

Let’s all make a song and dance about ‘superbugs’!

Relaying the antimicrobial resistance message using this established and robust creative format will be a powerful means to educate the next generation.

    Antimicrobial resistance
is a major global public health threat

The important message of the rise of antibiotic resistance and the fragile future of antibiotics needs to rapidly reach all corners of society. Performing a musical is a truly interactive experience that will immerse a child in the evocative story of antibiotics and have a profound effect on their knowledge and understanding of the subject. A child’s involvement in a musical impacts the entire school community and three generations; their siblings, parents and grandparents.
